Biothera to Present at International Food Ingredients and Additives Conference

EAGAN, MN – April 25, 2005 – Biothera will present research supporting the efficacy of its immune-enhancing functional food ingredients during this week's International Food Ingredients and Additives Conference in Japan.

The 10th annual event is Asia’s largest gathering of food ingredient and additive manufacturers, distributors and suppliers. More than 25,000 people attended last year’s conference.

Donald Cox, Ph.D., vice president of R&D and business development in Biothera’s Healthcare Group, will deliver a presentation entitled, “WGP® 3-6 Beta Glucan: Growing Evidence of Successful Role in Immune Health.”

Dr. Cox will present the impressive body of research demonstrating how Biothera’s yeast-derived beta 1,3/1,6 glucan primes innate immune cells to recognize and attack a wide range of foreign challenges.

Biothera markets its branded compounds, WGP 3-6 and BetaRight® 3-6, in several Asian countries, including Japan, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. The company also has growing sales and distribution in Europe and North America.
