EAGAN, MN – January 6, 2006 – William L. Gacki has joined Biothera as Chief Financial Officer, the company announced today.

Gacki brings to Biothera both domestic and international experience encompassing finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development and operating unit management. During his 34-year career, Gacki has held senior executive positions with H.B. Fuller, Cray Research and Exxon Corporation. Most recently Gacki was Vice President, Treasurer for H.B. Fuller.

“Bill is a gifted executive with tremendous experience in a broad range of financial and strategic positions,” said Richard Mueller, Biothera President and Chief Executive Officer. “He is the right person to help lead Biothera through its next stages of development and growth.”

At H.B. Fuller, Gacki led the Treasury Group, which was responsible for treasury activities in the U.S. and overseas, including: corporate finance, international finance, shared services, cash management, benefit plan asset management and insurance.

Previously, Gacki was Vice President, Corporate Development and Planning for Cray Research. He was responsible for assessing acquisition and other opportunities and leading business transactions that would position Cray Research in new markets and technologies. Prior to that, Gacki was Treasurer of Cray Research.

Earlier in his career Gacki held a number of financial positions with Exxon Corporation, New York; Esso Inter-America, Coral Gables, Florida; and Esso Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Gacki has an MBA in Finance and International Business from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He earned a BS from Lehigh University.
